Newport Heights Elementary PTA

PTA Mission:

Provide opportunities and resources to build strong children, parents, families and communities.

Promote a partnership between home, school and community that promotes the social, emotional and academic growth of our children.

Encourage parent and teacher involvement in the PTA’s decision making process and advocate for the care and protect of our children.

PTA Goals:

  • Effectively communicate the PTA missions and goals.
  • Promote high standards for the health, welfare, safety and education of the children in the NHE school community.
  • Provide educational opportunities for students, staff and parents through;

         - Financial support for relevant programs, assemblies, field trips, materials, equipment, and supplies.

         - Provisions for classroom enrichment funds and educational scholarships for students and teachers

         - Presentations by qualified speakers at select PTA meetings and events

         - Workshops, parenting support, and discussion groups

  • Provide extracurricular activities that appeal to the diverse needs and interests of the students.
  • Enhance community awareness and develop partnerships with other schools, community organizations and businesses.
  • Promote awareness of legislative issues, education issues and current educational reform.
  • Promote awareness of the school and district emergency safety preparedness planning and implementation.
  • Be responsible, effective and action-oriented association; working for all children.
  • Promote ongoing membership development and encourage and value the active participation of our members on behalf of all children.
  • Identify and incorporate developmental asset building strategies into our programs.
